The oil supply line from the tank to the boiler has a little leak so I need to replace it. Is soft copper still OK?

(quoted from post at 22:12:08 11/15/13) Cut out the leak and use a flair fitting to put in a coupling. Jim

There is no slack in the line. The leak is under the flare fitting.

(quoted from post at 11:14:25 11/16/13) Cut off a foot and flair it their with a new 1 foot piece! Jim

There is also no room to work between the 3/8 tube and the 3/4 black poly that I laid in before the floor was poured around 15 years ago. I anticipated that the tube would eventually leak and I put the poly in to house the replacement line. So now it is time to put in the replacement. I picked up a coil this afternoon.
