Another Puter Question

Thanks gang for all the help below, I"m trying Windows 8.1 and/or Start 8 and will know more tomorrow. Typical learning curve I have to go through and why Im an old fashioned fuddy duddy Christian Conservative WHO HATES CHANGE GRRRRRRRRR

Okay, I use Windows Live Mail (sort of replaced Outlook Express and not same as Windows Mail)

In the past when I got a new puter and installed Windows Live Mail it went out in cyberspace or up in the cloud or visited Houdini or somebody AND IT FOUND AND DOWNLOADED AND IMPORTED ALL MY OLD E MAILS AND FOLDERS ETC

I downloaded and installed Windows Live Mail on this freakin new Windows 8 puter and it started to download all my old e mails but then it quit and now I cant figure out how to find all those old emails and get them imported into my new puter

So how do I do it???????????

You would have a lot less problems by getting an iPhone! Lol After having an iPhone I won't use Windows ever again. What is Microsoft's share price versus apples?lol
 
What email service do you use? I only use the online ones like gmail or yahoo, no concerns about what computer/phone/tablet I access it from.

If your email is on one of those you can get the old emails by logging in directly on the web instead of using the Windows app

If I were comparing them that way, I would compare how much
Microsoft has paid their shareholders compared to Apple over
the last 30 years. Think you'll see what I mean! ;)
