Adams Road Patrol #414

Does anyone know the weight of a Adams Model 414 Road Grader? A farmer-friend has one that has been setting for 30 plus years (I assume the engine is stuck) and the local scrapper offered him $750. It looks complete and is said to have an International engine. I don't have picts but it looks good with most or all? glass is still good. It has a fair amount of original paint.
He'd hope to get a bit more but doesn't know what to ask.
Located 60 miles north of Minneapolis,MN.

I think he is getting ripped off. Carried a full sized old military Hubco grader the other day. Was paid $290.00 per ton . thing weighed just over 26,000 lb. A bit over 3800 dollars. Sure would be a good haul bill.

He would like to see someone want it to restore. May not be that much work. I think he'd sell for not much more than scrap. I'm thinking he'd take $1,000. or just a bit more -I shouldn't say. I know he's not thinking as high as $1500.

I bought a Galion grader once that had a UD14 International engine. Plenty of power, ran good. Used it for cleaning ditches in the fall, then sold it for 2.4 times what I paid for it.
