Beef jerkey!

I maranited some 2 pounds of thin sliced beef yesterday and
dried the beef out today. I don't have a dehydrator so I used
the wood stove on very low heat. It came out pretty good. As u
can see I already ate some! Lol

I don't know how old they are but there is no five cent return on them! All cans and bottles here in New York have five cent deposit on them now, I think my friend from New Jersey gave me these.
 
Lol, smelled pretty good Rick, jerkey today, and apple sauce yesterday! May as well use the resources I have! Lol
 
One question. In the background I see a water heater and the T&P valve with a shut off valve. How is the water heater vented if it is over tepm, or pressure, if the valve is off? Stan
 
That tank just holds water for the wood stove, the stove and oil boiler have 30 psi relief valves, the system usually runs at 12-14 psi. A power failure would cause the circulator to stop then build up pressure, but I've never had that happen, I'm usually here and start the generator.
