How many tractors do you own.I have 17.15 IH,one
Oliver,one John Deere.Of these,10 are running,7 are
not.I also have two JD combines(55,95),both running.

6 and counting down. Cant take care of them any more like I should, and only have a need for maybe 2 of them. I am keeping at least 2, Dads and my great gramps. Will probably get something newer in a couple of years since I probably wont be able to climb up on the M, and my kids will end up with the others.

I have 7 tractors, all IH, diesels include a 756 and 2 460's. Gassers are a 706, 400 and 2 C's. All are runners and have their job on my 60 acre (mostly rented) hay operation. I feel like I'm farming about like a typical farm in the 60's or 70's as most my tractors and implements are from that vintage. I love it and wouldn't change it though as I do enjoy the repairs, I just wish I could change the timing of the breakdowns.

2 tractors, 400 and DC case, both in use. I also have a 310 crawler that is not operational and some other case equipment with motors.

I have two, Farmall 300 and Massey 35. Had an H till last week when I sold it. Two tractors is enough for me at a time, more and I run out of convenient storage spots under cover.

A few years ago I had a CO-OP E3 an Oliver 88 and a Super A. All gone because I moved to 1/2 acre now I only have garden tractors,I can get more of them in 5 Power Kings 1 John Deere 110, 2 Sears Suburban and 1 Montgomery Ward/Gilson.

1939 Ford 9-N
1941 Ford 9-N
1953 Ford Jubilee/ with loader
1953 Ford Jubilee

3 - Cub Cadetts 73, 400, 600

All but the 39 earn their living

Garden tractors are cool. You can buy em cheaper, easier to 'fix',easier to store, you can haul more to a show....... :)

21, all Molines, 4 are for parts, the rest all run.
a134918.jpg

While I appreciate all colors, I am CASE to the bone. I have a '54 VAC-14, '54 SC, and a '52 DC. I'd love to get a late model LAI and a 430, but my better judgement tells me three's enough.

I also have a '68 Camaro, '70 Opal GT, an '88 Chevy Silverado, a '70 Triumph Tiger 500, and an '06 Road King.

Too many, but enjoy 'em all.

Have 17. Ten IH, 3 JDs, 2 ACs, 2 Mahindras. 10 are keepers with 9 of these regular users; 7 for sale!

They are a bit quieter than they were, but still a bit loud, especially in higher gears. Someday maybe I will put in the second spare set that I bought off ebay, but I have been hoping that they will wear in and save the trouble, as I have already been in there more times than I care to remember.

What is the tube from the exhaust stack to the air cleaner for? Prolly a dumb question, but I never seen that before.

When did you get the little JD M? If you want, you can bring the 400 down....MD misses his brother!LOL

'Asperator tube'.The exhaust sucks the dust from the intake air, blows it up and out.A type of 'precleaner'.

I have but two. A ford 971 I use for snow, and a rumely model x my father bought when I was nine. Fifty years ago.

Hi Steve,
Yes I did. You have a good memory. LOL I traded it last year. The 1850 had some serious issues with the 2 speed/rear differential that really scared me. I always wanted a 70 series Case, and this one was about 3 miles from me. Sudden oppurtunity I couldn't pass up. The 1850 was a good tractor otherwise. Lots of power, but she drank a lot of gas too.
Kow Farmer Kurt

Jay,
I couldn't think of the name for the apparatus. I know these were very popular in the later 70's on farm tractors.

(quoted from post at 16:46:04 11/09/13) How many tractors do you own.I have 17.15 IH,one
Oliver,one John Deere.Of these,10 are running,7 are
not.I also have two JD combines(55,95),both running.
Somewhere between 85 and 100....depends on what you figure is a tractor...does it need to have wheels on it? Does it need to be complete?
Most of mine are Allis Chalmers, four 175 diesels, a 170D, 185D, and a 190XT that are my money makers. I have a few strays that need a good home: JD 4020LP, MM Jetstar 3, Blue G 1000....

The first tractor I ever bought is a 1955 John Deere 60. It gets some work, like pulling empty gravity boxes to the field, running auger, and pulling a 10ish foot RWA disk, but is mostly retired from the "real" work

My second tractor is a 4010 diesel that turned out to be either a lemon or just VERY tired. I got four times what it's worth in it. Only thing I haven't had worked on is the tranny (fingers crossed)

My third tractor is an early open station 4430. It isn't *mine*, but came with the farm to use until I don't need it anymore - thanks, FIL. I treat it like it's mine - new rubber on rear, regular maintenance.

My fourth tractor is a 2040 with 521 loader. It's only half owned by me. My FIL bought it a couple years back with major issues. I fixed it up and we trade it back and forth - he gets it for winter snow removal and I get it for summer fence work.

I had my grandpa's 3020 for a while, but then dad took it back. I hope to take it back from him again soon.

I hope to get a bigger cab tractor this next year if finances will allow. My 4 year old really wants to ride, but momma don't like open station tractors.

So, what's the count???

2 outright, 2 halfway, and 2 in the pipes

My son & I have about 30, mostly MM's. 22 MH, 3 RTU's, ZA LP, 3 335 Universals, 335 Utility, 335 Ind backhoe/loader, 445 Ind loader/backhoe, 445 Universal, Big MO 400M, 4 Star Super, Jet Star 3 Super, U302, UTS, 2 UB's, 5 Star, M5D, 2 M602D, M670 Super G, 2 M670 Super D, GVI LP, G1000 w/800 G, G1050 D, 2155 Oliver D, 2-105 White. Most run & we use them on our farm.

Don't y'all laugh now, I only have one little bitty Ferguson T0-30, and it hasn't been cranked in over three years, so I gots some work to do!
BTW, Lyle will list his in a few days, he's still outside taking inventory right now. LOL
