Well, there is actually a United States Lawnmower Racing Association, and in our state there is the Michigan Lawnmower Racing Association. In mid-Michigan there has been a very active racing group called the Maple Rapids Grass Kickers. They take the mower deck off the machine, soup up the engine and race on a dirt/sand oval. Fun to watch. They put a lot of money in their machines so I'm not surprised that you found one for sale at a price that probably surprised you.

The Dixie Chopper From Tool Time Was In A Dixie Chopper Warehouse Office In Waveland In. 3 Years Ago, We Ate Lunch In The Warehouse When On The Covered Bridge Tractor Tour. Since That Time The Trucking Co. That Distributed The Mowers All Over The Country Lost Dixie Choppers Contract. Don't Know What Happened To Mower, Suprised Tim Allen Didn't Keep It For Himself. Dixie Chopper Offices Are At At The Greencastle In. Airport Complex, They Are Made Nearby. Gene

My son and I built two of them this was the last one ..53 MPH with a stock 10 HP briggs. second year took 4 th overall.
