In case you want to trade

I would almost trade him my TO30 for that thing and $1700.00. 'Course, it hasn't been cranked in about four years now, needs lift work. Ran when parked!

Do you remember when there was a Cushman dealer in Belding? Right on Main Street if memory serves me right. Before they leveled the town of course. My oldest brother had a Cushman scooter and I remember going there for parts a few times.

had one in the 4 wheel style. nice to think about
owning one but basically useless. noisy and loud
with lots of fumes inside due to literally sitting
on top of the engine. seat is just a padded cover
on the engine box. under powered, overweight,
cumbersome, easily stuck due to undersized tires.
hot in summer, cold in winter. yea, nice to think
about owning one. tractors are a great addition to
one, handy for pulling them around.

Donno, but a Cushman scooter was my dream transportation when I was about 12 or 13. There were a few of them around then. Haven"t seen any since I went to college, and the handyman rammed around campus on one. Thought it would be just the cat"s meow for running errands on the farm. Thought the one with the shroud over engine and rear wheel was neat. Didn"t they have a Briggs lawnmower engine on "em - recoil starter and all? Obviously my dad over ruled that dream big time!

My brother and his best friend both had them. They had a pretty good sized single cylinder engine with a kick start. I don't know what kind of engine they had. Bob's had the cover over the motor that swept back all the way. You pretty much stepped through that one. Jerry's was all open. Looked like a small Harley. Had a teardrop type tank with an open engine and a small rear fender.

They used to use them for the maintenance people to get around the campus at Southern Illinois University. One of them rounded the corner too fast pulling into the repair shop and flopped it over on it's side. We had to lift it up with him in it so he could get out. It either only had one door on the right, or else the left door wouldn't open. He was stuck inside. . .
