Just found out my half brother just checked himself in to hospital this morning. All I know as of yet is he's losing blood internally. They are going to do a upper and lower scope in the am. Our relationship is different than most. Mostly by distance but also I found him when I was 18. But he's still blood and I'm just a little worried.

Done, and best of luck to him and the rest of the family. that is the same symptom that Dad had back in late February. That started a rollercoaster of treatments, surgery and transfusions that lasted until he had no more options in September. Lost him the 26th of October. I pray for a better outcome for your brother.

Sure hope everything turns out ok.

My mom had this issue once and it turned out to be a bacteria called H. Pylori - which I think is water borne. It is a spiral bacteria that "drills" holes in your stomach lining and antibiotics cleared it up.

I sure hope it will be something that simple for your brother.
