Spam? I love Spam! Grind it up with some cheese, put it on a bun, wrap it in foil and heat it in the oven. Now that's good eatin! Have to have a bag of Cheetos to go with it.

They've been there for hours.

Odd stuff, in classic view anyhow, don't even see the contact link so its either poorly done spam or someone been drinking way too much!

I"ve noticed some snappy responses from some posters in the wee hours, like O dark 30........

I cut it thin then fry it crispy not bad a sandwich or just snacking on.
Good stuff. Best eaten over a campfire.

(quoted from post at 15:09:00 11/04/13) I believe spam is made of much better meat cuts than most of the hot dogs, bologna etc.

The ingredient list in order:

Pork with ham, Salt, Water, Modified Potato Starch, Sugar, Sodium Nitrite

Got a friend who grew up in Minn and worked for Hormel at the spam company. He now works for Sara Lee in the hot dog plant. He loves spam and eats it regularly, but you will never see him eat a hot dog. Makes you wonder

YUM YUM. When I was in high school I worked as a deck hand on a tug boat for summer employment as auxillary help (covering for the regular guys taking their vacations) and being temp. I got the graveyard shift. My favorite snack at night was a Spam and mayonnaise "sammich" with a glass of milk.

Course fried Spam and fried eggs with home made biscuits and 8'O'clock coffee really gets your day going.

My 2c and worth every penny you paid for it.

I see I am out numbered, but don't want to spoil it for all of you that like it. We use to eat it a lot year's ago until I talked to a guy that worked in the slaughter house and told me what went into it, probably no worse than any other processed meat, but we no longer eat it. In fact most processed lunch meat's aren't nearly as good since they took all the fat out of them. I prefer a good whole pork loin to any processed meat's. Also about half the price of most lunch meat's when on sale and way better for you.

Spam came about when they were looking for ways to use pork shoulders.Hams were easy to sell but not so with the shoulders. Its hard to find a smoked shoulder now.Spam used to be the only meat you could take camping. We used to buy a pound or 2 of hot dogs, for 39 cents a pound.Add a jar of mustard, relish and rolls and soda.
