Many thanks, tractor vets, for the rapid response. Will leave my big beast as is and will enjoy the comfort of a big roomy heated cab this winter when using the snowblower. One more diesel question. Just found out the previous owner was operating the 1105 on heating oil instead of diesel fuel.I believe it,s basically the same product but are there any precautions I should take, or, even worse, what are the possibilities of damage having been done to the fuel pump, injectors etc? The engine sounds very smooth from cold start and when running at operating temp. Thanks everyone for your advice.

Basiclly he was running #1 diesel great for the winter and not so good for pulling it hard in the summer. Don"t worry about it and just run it.

I always thought heating oil and diesel were the same, come #1 or #2, depending on temperature of storage. I suppose heating oil is colored to prevent on road use. Thank goodness I don't heat with oil anymore!
