Whats up guys:
what is the Hydrolic pressure on a farmall h,
Will it lift a light weight dozzer blade on front and a sickle mower in the back.
MANY THANKS

I had one that worked a loader, had those loooong cylinders that went from the rear axle to the front to lift the trip bucket, but bucket was removed and replaced with a blade for plowing snow. never had any trouble lifting it, or lifting things I hooked to it with a chain. I was impressed that for a tractor made in 1948, that it would hold the blade up for 2 weeks without settling down. IT used the belly pump. only downside to it was, no hydraulics when the clutch was pressed in. Once you got used to it, plowing snow with it wasn"t too bad at all.

I think the factory pressure was in the 600-800 range depending on the year. With a big enough cylinder they will lift the whole world. I used mine with a loader that had a blade on it and to lift the head of the haybine. I picked up an Allis B rear end once with the loader to put in a truck for a customer and it had no problem lifting it.

IF pump was upgraded pressure could get upwards of 1000 PSI or more. If memory serves a yellow mark was painted on pumps with the upgrade.

I would plan on 600-800, run straight 30W in it unless you need to connect other tractors to the implements.

It all depends on the dia of the hy cycl larger will always lift more of course the H will lift a mower and blade there were many brands of loaders made for the H and had blades for them.

The early pumps had no provision for adjusting the end clearance of the gears. Those pumps were good for about 400 psi. Later pumps had a thinner center section and added shims to adjust the clearance which allowed higher pressure, about 750 psi. If the pump assembly is in good shape it is possible to shim the relief valve spring to get a little higher pressure.
