Will I came across a Case model H corn shedder .. It's complete and needs some work .. tires are gone and missing a belt .. but the drum isn't beat up not even a dent .. what I notice was the knifes are wore down .. I'm sure there are other things , will find them when I start to fix it up so it can be used ...

I think that's what I remember seeing advertised as a "sagebrush shredder" for Western rangeland where overgrazing let brush grow up and shade out the grass. This was before rotary mowers, or bush hogs, came into general use. They pretty much solved the problem of shredding cornstalks and cotton stalks, and probably rangeland brush also.

Dad used one like that for chopping corn stalks in the 1960's. It previously had been a well used rental unit and had many welds on it. The two flex couplers next to the gearbox were a douyble row roller chain type. It had a heavy rubber flap on the bottom front edge to slow anything flying out the front. It had lost a few flails, so it really bounced up amd down at PTO speed. Your is in much better shape than that one was.

If you're gonna insist on spelling scrapper with two p's, nobody on this forum will understand you. It's like omitting the a from shredder...

Sounds like the one we used on cornstalks..

Made that Late Styled JD "B" snort, getting it wound up..!!!

Where did you buy that? I was at a auction 3 weeks ago in southern mn and that looks just like the one a scrap guy bought on that sale. There was also a very neat case picker/sheller with grain tank that went to scrap.

Fred was kiddin' ya'. You actually spelled it right- but almost everybody on here mis-spells it "scraper", and he was having some fun with that.

I got it about 5 miles from home { pella , iowa } the man said if it didn't sell { he advertise it on Craig's List } he was going to the scrap yard with it ...

I have NEVER seen 1 before .... mark
