Nice pictures. I wish my garden were close to being as good as
yours. Your next move is to start packing stuff up in the sheds for
winter?

Remember those days, but forgot how we moved them down into the potato seller. Maybe buckets. Then going down and rubbing spouts off.

That is a good yield! You folks are obviously blessed with some very fertile soil. Enjoyed the photos. But,then again, I always enjoy watching SOMEONE ELSE work! lol

Great pics, great looking spuds. Would have liked one of the "gleaning crew"- neighbor, auntie, grandma, etc., etc., for a little more "human interest".

Neat when neighbors get along like this, and work together on a project. I've had some great neighbors over the years, and some not so great. But can't say I've ever had any that were outright hostile.

Had a situation with an access road, with the inevitable potholes- 4 folks involved (well, actually, 3, and a renter of one of them). Rich guy who owned the rental bought the gravel, whenever we asked him to. Call him, tell him we're out of gravel, and a truckload would magically arrive within 2 days. I had an Oliver 1550 w/ loader and blade, for the rough work. Other neighbor did the "finish work" with a #2 shovel. Very attractive, but poor as a church mouse renter, made cookies for the crew. Very good arrangement, enjoyed by all. Always thought renter could have made a good living as a model for blue jeans.

Hey Larry,
If you had a Case on that Olly digger, and towed the wagon behind it, the tators would have launched off the tailing conveyor rite into the wagon. HeHe.
What are you going to do with all of them?
The wifey and I planted 4 raised bed boxes of spuds, 192sq ft. Got nearly 5 bu. which will last us till late spring in our storage bin, when they get soft and start sprouting.

they get divided up to all of the relatives, and me too,Iam honerd to be treated like part of the family, there is way more potatoes than needed though, maybe some bartoring will occur

grandma was making lunch, the great aunt is 90.she doesnt have to work for her share anymore, although she probably could, she still heats her old farmhouse with coal and has an outhouse
Go down to t talk, grandma is sitting in her favorite chair,go say hello to her

Great pics - looks like fun.

We were hoping for a fall plow day at a neighbor's place - but not sure if it will happen or not this year, as they are still harvesting.
