Tractor lacks hydraulic capacity to operate corn planter

I'm looking at buying a used JD 1770 planter and adding two vac fans. Want to pull it with my JD 8400 but it doesn't have enough hydraulic output. Looking at buying a 20 GPM HydraBoost kit for about 7k from a company called Command Hydraulics. I was wondering if anybody's had experience with this unit and what they thought of it? Beats buying a new tractor but would love some user feedback before buying. Their website commandhydraulics com says they used to be called Rowe Mfg. I bought one of their PTO pump mounts about 10 years ago.
 
Doesn't the 8400 have over 20gpm hydraulic flow

Are your filters dirty or is their something wrong with the tractors hyd system?

Sorry, should have mentioned it’s a 24-30 with two 13 GPM vacuum fans and one 10 GPM center fill. That totals 36 GPM. I’ll need something for lift and lowering too
 
You should post over on new agtalk. There will be more people that have done the same thing. In spring it seems every third post is someone needing more hydraulics for a planter.

Well Deere's info says your 8400 has 30 or 38 GPM
depending on which pump it has. They list a 1770
24x30 with CCS and VR drive as needing 25 GPM. I
know I've set up a 1790 16/31 split row on a 8300
and it worked fine. The biggest problem was having
enough remotes.
