Does any manufacturer still make this tractor?

Versatile manufactered a tractor that could be operated in either direction. Later it was produced by New Holland, but I don't see it in their tractor line on the internet. Has it been discontinued?

Our county road commission had a couple with a front (rear) mounted rotary mower (generic brush hog). Apparently worked OK for mowing off rugged roadsides.

Don't know if it is still made. They had a bad rep, for burning up, starting at the wire harness, at the articulation point.

I ran one (Ford Versatile) for a friend plowing snow in the mountains. Had a road grader plow on it. Love it for missing rocks and trees on the side of the road. Don't remember the model number, but think is was just over 100hp.

Versatile had to sell off the 4x4 part of their line to allow NH to acquire them due to government anti-trust CRAP... Buhler started manufacturing the articulated 4x4's (except the bi-directional) and NH kept the row crop and bi-directional units. A friend had a Versatile version and used it daily in his feedlot for 20 years and never had issues - although he was a maintenance nut and washed it weekly, etc... I wish I had his strict attention to that stuff.

look up the latest model by NH. TV145. Earlier models were TV140, Ford 9030, Versatile 276.

My neighbor has a 276 Versatile. He loves it, doesn't think he can farm without it. I have drove it some. It is neat to push snow. But the 3 point is on the same end as the loader. It is a hydro which is neat for the loader. It has hand and foot controls. It also has that indestructible Cummins motor. And yes New Holland still sells them.

"Didn't the Versatile line go to Buhler Industries???"

That's NOT the end of it! They (Buhler) are now Russian owned by Combine Factory Rostselmash!

But,thankfully(?) the bi-directional tractors went to FIAT dba New Holland.

Yep, antique farmer ACG, a 930 Case would CERTAINLY be more useful. Especially with the hand clutch vs. the FIAT's hydrostatic drive!

I'll bet the hydraulics are faster on the old Cases, as well.

(I'm NOT trying to be a Richard Edward here, and I love old stuff, probably almost as much as you do, but there's NO reason to criticize this newer stuff & what it can do!)

I have a 276 II with the ford motor love it only tractor I"ve bought new I have about 7000 hours on mine. Would love to find a low houred 9030.Not much of a fan of a 140 but I think the 145"s may be better.I have 3pt on both ends but only pto on cab end, Wish it had it on the other end. Fire problems were mostly fixed by the late 9030 very few burned that lasted to a 1000 hours. My Farm Bureau adjuster bought five of them in three years all had less than 750 hours.

There were some sold around here. All I was saying was that when we were selling CaseIH Maxxums, a 5140MFD would leave them in the dust on tillage equipment, and especially chopping corn on our hilly tarain.

Look a little closer... the TV6070 is very much in NH's lineup.
That was the only versatile product retained by NH when they sold the Winnipeg plant and it's product lines. The Ruski's now own that.

Built by CNH in the Fargo plant. Come off the same line as the Case payloaders. Toured the plant earlier this year, the guide mentioned that there are no plans to bring the Bi-di up to tier 4 emissions. This may mean the end is near for the line.
