people are amazing , yesterday im following a couple of young goobers, in obviously what was their bosses truck and trailer, these guys were thr type that drives a '80's compact with a fender missing, the ramp out of the lumber yard is steep, they have at least 20 nice 2x8's on the trailer no tie downs at all, up the ramp they go, and 4 slid out the back of the trailer, they didnt get it, as they went up the road they lost 5 more before i got to the road i was taking, still didnt stop, really? they cant hear or see 2x8's 12 foot long hitting the road? wonder if they had any left when they got to their destination

i did think about it believe me, but i figured surly they would stop and come back and get those if not i imaging they are job hunting today with the price of lumber being where it is, would have followed farther but i had things to do and places to be myself

From the official website: "Goober, a southern word for peanut, made its way as a trademark for a product the Blumenthal Brothers Chocolate & Cocoa Company began manufacturing in 1925. The Blumenthal family had originated in North Carolina, and Goobers was a natural name for the milk chocolate-covered peanuts they began to make. Today they are made by Nestle'."

lol for folks my age goober probably got its start on the original run of andy griffith, gommers slower cousine, used to describe a person who while he may be nice is a little slow on the common sence/ common knowlege skills ,or some in my area billing themselves as auto mechanics who shouldnt be allowed to work on a lawn mower, it would be obvious to 99% that a load of lumber needs to be secured to the trailer, but aparently not to these guys, [if they didnt bring any straps the lumber yard sells those too]

Years ago I found a board in the road that must have been a side rail on a farmers wagon. I picked it up, believing it must belong to a neighbor. When I got to the next intersection I saw a truck behind me. I got out and it was his. He did not look happy about his "thing" being in my truck. I thought I was being neighborly, but good intentions are easily mistaken for other things I guess.
