You hear the saying "Put out to pasture" well this Oliver plow had been put to pasture.

I picked it up too early. The Cedar tree was just starting to grow up throught it. Should have left it set for another decade or two. LOL

The Plow was almost to plow depth. The points where six inches in the ground. The ground is real sandy so they are not rusted away very much.

Loading up. I know I should have taken the Oliver 1655 to pick the plow up but the JD 5210 was short enough to fit on the trailer with the plow.

Ready to chain everything down and head for home. I picked the extra parts up earlier in the week.

So I have another project to do.

JD Seller,

It's neat. Thanks for posting.

It is amazing how fast things return to their natural state if not tended to... how machinery rusts and pastures or lawns fill with saplings and brush.

Right in the middle of the pasture, funny how things end up in places like that, then it starts to grow in, always an old lunker of a crawler found in an old pasture for one reason or another, see those more than not over the years, place I go by to get parts for both my ford plows has an old D9 push tractor along the road, been there for years. Always makes you wonder who left it in that spot and for what reason whatever it is. Even the trash covers say Oliver ! That and the spare parts, great to see it not headed to the scrapper !!!

I found some hedgrow equipment also yesterday. Case of course. HeHe A case 281 rake, a MTA 44 plow, and a JTA plow.
My dad had sold them new to this 3rd generation local farmer's dad.
An AC man would go nuts there!! D series tractors from a D10 up, Ac plows, cultivators, discs, sickle mowers, and even a two disc quick hitch disc plow. Sheds full of AC parts.
Loren, the Acg.

Is there any chance the coverboards are still the originals? Bought a lot of them over the over the years, but never had any with OLIVER on them
