It was Harvest Home Day at Bonnie Blink Masonic Homes near Baltimore this morning. Years ago, the home provided it's own food from a farm operated by itself, and sold the excess to the outside market, but today is a first class nursing home and also home to the Grand Lodge of Maryland.
By tradition, Masons gathered in the fall and went out to the fields to pick corn and store it for the facility, and breakfast was provided by Bonnie Blink, and corn husking continues as a tradition every fall, but as a gathering of friends and brothers for the morning. One of the highlights is some of the old iron brought for display.
