RRLund - here's out recent paint job

Sure a lot purdier than it was. You should have come on over to Trufant today. A whole bunch of 3 point stuff there. There was a 3pt disc there that I maybe should have stuck around for but my knees were killing me so I came home.

I probably should give it another try.
Last time I was up there no one had any "old junk".
They all had "priceless antiques".
Kind of soured me. LOL

You could have bought Joan a nice sporty black Mustang convertible. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I THINK that ended up at around $1750. There were a couple of reasonable 8Ns.

Nice looking job, Royse. I went to an auction too. Stuff went really cheap. Ended up with a Cyclone spreader for $15.00. It was missing a lid, but the box was nice and clean. Now I have one for fert and one for seed or one for parts.

Larry

That really looks nice. Just can't get my mind around antique tractors with alternators. If a person needs 12 volt,it is easy to convert the gen from 6 to 12. But again,it looks great.

Larry, I probably would have spent less going to an auction! LOL

Always, it came with the alternator already. I'm assuming they are changed
mainly because they are readily available, easy to wire and relatively cheap.
I do think they look ugly on supposedly "restored" tractors.

DR, Thanks! Gotta give Joan credit for a lot of that.

It didn't sell. The owner bought it back. The gleaner was the deal in all the tractors. The jd520 was a good deal too

That 520 kinda agrivated me. Big Marv guessed the price at $2500,it brought $2600. I've tried to sell this 1020 gas utility with a Freeman hydraulic bucket loader for $3500 and everybody acted like I was trying to cheat them out of their last dime. If you want one to use, there's no comparison between the two.

Your JD 1020 is not a collector tractor and the JD 520 is. That JD 1020 gas is just not going to sell very well. They will not bring $2500 around here. It is not right but I see old Fords out selling the JD 1020. You have better hydraulics and good power steering.

Don't know if it went to a collector or not. Had a trip bucket Deere loader on it. Wouldn't be surprised if somebody just bought it to plow snow or drag wood.
