Don't worry about grinding gears, they are making them out of water next year so you just pour them in.
 
I pull the lever to disenguage the pto, and pop the clutch, thinking I just took ot out of gear. The tractor jumps foreward (oops) Senior moment I guess. I almost ran over a BLM girl one time doing that. She was right next to my tire talking to me about mowing, when I took my foot off the clutch. Good thing she was fast, at jumping back from the tire. It boils down to lose of memory. I couldn't go to sleep last night because I just felt like there was somthing important I was supposed to do before calling it a day. After tossing and turning for 2&1/2 hours I remembered I had not took my medicine. Turned the light on and got the medicine out of the night stand and there was no spoon in the stand. Got out of bed and carried the medicine to the kitchen. Found a spoon and took the medicine then forgot how to get back to the bedroom and wound up sleeping on the kitchen floor.
