I took 3 of my friends over to Scotland last night(Saturday) for the Ferguson working day and auction.....I just thought some of you might like to see pics of the South side of Scotland.....and maybe some tractors and dirt!
Sunday morning scenery at about 07.30

I never work on Sundays, Bruce. I was still on the tractor at 5.00 pm saturday and sitting at the dock at 6.30 pm for the 7.30pm sailing, home tonight before 11.00 pm.....easy!
Now to work my butt off all week!
Mulgrews are a big haulage company, based in Norn Iron(Northern Ireland!)they could have anything in those trucks!
The auction was in Dumfries, In the South of Scotland.

John, Our growing season should be near over, but we have had an exceptional summer and it is forecast to be very warm this week. 3rd cut is almost done here....should be all finished up this week.

Beautiful shots Sam! I really enjoy seeing what things look like elsewhere. Some of those shots are calendar quality.

Certainly no calendar shots at the auction!....Calendar guys at a tractor auction? I don't think so!!!! LOL As for the rest....the miracles of a digital camera!

Sam,

Great pictures!!! We visited Scotland in 1985 (Edinburgh and Inverness), then took the train down to Chester then out to Holyhead. Ferry over to Dublin.

Loved everything we saw there!

Great pictures. My great uncle who lived right across the border in Ontario, Caanada would say we're not Scottish we're Irish, our family only lived in Scotland for three hundred years. My grandmother, his sister says were Welsh, by the way my uncle talked I tend to believe Grandma.

Great pictures. We were in Scotland in '05 right after my wife's second chemo treatment. She refused to cancel the trip. Beautifyul country and great people. Our guide had an agricultural background which made it more interesting. Like another poster, I'm Irish with Scottish roots and a wee dram of the dreaded English. Ha!
