Im having trouble with these aftermarket light switches! I get a year out of them and they burn up! Another 40 bucks! I like my stuff original so i buy the original looking switch! All my tractors only have one extra light on them than factory in the back! And its the same style light as the originals! Anybody have any thoughts maybe were to buy a quility switch! Dealer or magazine or online stores i tried them all!

The extra light is 25% more power than the switch was designed for. Putting LED bulbs in the headlights (or all of them) will be a game changer in terms of amount of light, and seriously less current draw. A relay can be used to operate the extra light with very little current addition through the switch. Jim

I had trouble burning switches. So I finally feplaced the OEM type with a 75 amp heavy duty push/pull.Used the original 'hole'.True, its not oem type, but it works well and has never failed.Pretty nice when working lots of long nights....

Like Janicholson said - use the switch to operate a relay. The relay coil is a low amp load, and the relay contacts handle the heavy current. The relay is about the size of an ice cube and can be easily hidden if you're worried about looks.
