I have been having a lot of people wanting me to mow there weedsd's down for them latly.i was wondering how much they usualy get an acre for it.i don't want to over charge them for it..

I rarely mow an unknown area, too easy to put a rusted off steel fence post through a tire. Then there's the hidden rocks and stumps just high enough to take out your oil pan. Just keep this in mind, walk the entire area if need be and check first. Keep that in mind when you price the job...

I charge $75/hour for regular field mowing. I charge $90/hour in brush/not maintained ground. Charge from time leaving shop until return to shop. Live in S.E. PA When I do brush I am using the skid steer with the bush hog on front.

I charge 50 an hour using a Farmall M and 6 foot cutter or Ford 8N with a 5" cutter. That's from my door to my door. 2 hour minimum. No bystanders because of how far stuff gets tossed. I only use the smaller tractor cutting very small areas or trails in woods.

I charge what it would cost for someone to rent a rig from the local rental and do it themselves. Figure my rig is not quite as nice as their new ones so not worth quite as much and I do the driving cause I like to do it!
I also have the agreement if I hit something on the property I am mowing it is their responsibility.

I do it way too cheap or so I am told. Mostly retired folks in my area and I like helping them. I charge $50 per hour on clean ground and $75 on unknown as I spend allot of time stopping and clearing things that won't go through the mower without causing damage. So far so good. I have a small utility 40 hp machine that is not bad on fuel with a 6' mower. My hourly charge is by the tachometer on the tractor and not the clock on the wall. Time starts when I pull out of my drive. It covers fuel and my time and a little wear and tare. It is normally good for a great lunch or a homemade something to take home as well.

We've been charging 60/hour for a 6' on a 50 hp tractor. I'm leaning in the direction of increasing it at least on the heavier jobs.

I do $65/hr with a 4' bush hog on a 22 HP kubota. With the risk of hitting stumps, metal making tires flat, yellow jackets and hornets nesting in tall brush, it's da mn cheap, if you ask me!

I run a 70hp tractor and 8' Bush Hog cutter. I charge $75 an hour from the time I unload till I load her back up. I can cut up to 4 acres an hour if field conditions are right in a large field (20+ acres), but normally cut about 2 acres an hour. I keep busy....most guys are running smaller 5 and 6' machines and can do half of what I do in an hour and charge $50-60 per hour. I accept tips :D

I charge $1 per horsepower hour off the meter, 4 hour minimum on everything except skid loader and dozer ($1.25 on them). Bush hog charges at $2.00 per foot per hour. We mow a lot of different stuff with different combinations.

Net on a 7600 Ford with 15' batwing would be $86 per hour on tractor and $30.00 for the mower or $116.00 per hour. Included in that, in addition to mower, operator, and fuel is all the local business licenses, permits, bonded, and $2M in liability insurance.
