We got this job to put in a 3 acre lawn at a farm house. Today we worked with the power rake to get the stones out, while I was driving my tractor around the place I took some pics. It's a 200 year old house that has been totally restored, I was told its on 500 acres. The restoration job is 1.2 million. You can see the nice stone walls, the pile of debris from clearing the land, the view ect. My friend did the foundation with blue stone, ill try to get more pics tomarrow of the house. There are also some pics of the old barns. Enjoy.

And that's what keeps our economy going. More power to anyone who spends $1.2 million on a property restoration- many may think its foolishness, but that money gave JayinNY and some others a job to put dinner on the table. Just like the guy who had me do the closing on the purchase of an overpriced vacation property at the beach last week put food on MY table.

If everybody quit spending money "foolishly", we'd be in a world of hurt.

Hey, the rich don't create jobs! At least that's what we're told. Nah, I don't believe it either. Nobody poor ever gave anyone a job.

Larry, yes there is an amazing amount of stone in the walls. And there very long walls, all over the property. It nice to see someone restore the place.

Yea for the mexicans whens the last time u been a rich neighborhood and seen the workers. That money trickles right down to south America and those guys with the big time jobs ship all those jobs to China.

It sure is,so many places have fallen down ,you should see the horse farm I keep telling you about,a lot of the buildings have holes in the roofs now,it wont be long some of them will be shot.

Thanks for posting the pics. Looks like a good project to be involved with.

Mike nailed it. It's folks willing to spend money like that, that keep a lot of families going.

JayinNY,
Thanks for posting. It is going to look amazing. Hope you can post some more.

Really pretty country in your area.

Looks like fall is on the way from the color of some of the trees. Love the stone walls, we used to own a 100 acre farm near Norwich, NY. The only fence that wasn't stone was the one bounding the road. Someone put a lot of work into moving those stones.

Thanks, ill try to post more pics tomarrow night, there's not very good phone reception there so I have to post when I get home,

What gorgeous scenery!

I could live in upstate NY. Too bad all those citidiots down in the SE corner have made the place such a political cesspool and taxed and regulated the entire state out of the running.

greg k,
I don't think I could take any pictures from your view... because I'd be sitting down with my eyes CLOSED, holding on to that rail for dear life!

Pretty country though.
