OT Frustrated.....

Well, I just went out to the shop to look at my new radiator for my Ferguson TO-30. Just wanted to see what my fan shroud was going to look like when it bolted up to it, too bad it doesn't fit... Bought this radiator NEW from a guy, from a guy. Said "Oh ya, that will fit for sure." IT DON'T! So, does anyone have a picture or good description of what my radiator should look like? I think that the problem is the lower hole on the left, It has this funny Z pipe instead of just a straight outlet, me and dad don't recall seeing this on the old radiator. Thanks, Bryce

Typical story from anyone who has bought a new radiator over the past few years. Its way better to get the old ones re cored if possible.

If your tractor is a Ferguson TO 30 it shopuld have ahd a Z shaped left pipe. You need that to get the water inlet up out of the front casting that the axle hooks to.

IF your old radiator does not have a off set in it I wonder if your tractor is a TO 30.

Here is a picture of a TO 30 radiator.

I just had mine repaired a month or so ago. I went and looked. Mine has a Z shaped thing on the lower hose too. The cowl fits above the lower hose. It's raining now, but I can post a picture tomorrow.

That is the exact radiator that I have??? The only thing that told me off is that the shroud didn't fit, however, the screw holes in the sides line up? Did all Ferguson's have shrouds? Mine did when I got it, but it could have been after market. Thanks, Bryce

Bryce: Not to be making trouble but are you holding the shroud correctly??? The shroud for a TO-30 is about square. You can have them turned a quarter turn and they look about right other than the bolts do not line up. If it has been a while you may not be remembering how it goes on correctly.

Well, yes I am sure, I know what is right. The shroud is fairly square, but it only has screw holes on two sides, so it can only go two ways, on way is close, and the other way is way out there, no chance what so ever that it will fit like that. Some of you may be able to recall that the shroud has 3 square corners, and one that is kind like a C that should go around the bottom outlet? I still have my old one in town, going to look at it and see what the difference is! Thanks, Bryce
