John Deere MT cultivators

Anybody out there got any parts for a JD MT cultivator? I have posted everywhere and I need a set of the lift rods/pipes that go from the rear rockshaft to the front gangs. If I could get one in any condition at least I would have a pattern to go by to make another. Any help is appreciated.

As I remember, from some forty years ago, they were quite simple. Using a piece of about 1" pipe, and a couple of pieces of round rod, a couple of nuts and a piece of all-thread or a couple of bolts, they can be made easily. The round stock should fit the l hole on the lift arm for the worker. Bend them in a 90 degree angle, drill a hole for a hairpin in it and weld it in the end of the pipe. With the lift arms down, cut the pipe off a few inches short of the hole, and weld a nut on the end of the pipe. Bend a piece of all-thread or a bolt long enough into a 90, and drill a hole in it for a cotter pin, then thread it into the nut to the length of the hole in the lift arm on the rockshaft and use a hairpin to secure it. Nothing fancy. Oh, and paint them green. By using the inner arm on the one side, the workers will lift independently, or together if you use the outer lift arm.

There isn't one from the rockshaft to the front gangs. There is a short pipe type that go's in the front top of the drawbar and it mates with a short rod from the front gang. It uses a set collar to adjust the gang. How long they are depends on which cultivator you have. Mine uses a 10 & 3/4 long tube and about 13 on the front rod. To make the drawbar end I heated and bent the bar stock to a 45 degree angle, slipped the pipe over it and welded it up. The front rod just needs to be bent to fit the hole & cut to length. Make the tube part first and you'll be able to tell how long you need the solid part up front. There is another one that is a good bit longer but it's the same way. Hope this help's.

I have never seen the pipe you describe from the drawbar. My drawbar isn't even used when the cultivators are on. The second post describes it well, except for dimensions. I made one of the arms for my cultivator and it wasn't hard to make it look exactly like the original one.
