Update on getting old

Went to the doctor this afternoon. Checked me for stroke symptoms first. No signs. Sent me to the lab for blood work. BP very good. I feel much better this evening. My wife has worked for the doctor for about 26 years, so we know each other pretty well. He knows what kind of stuff I do all the time.
Will know lab results in the morning. Thanks to all yall's efforts to get me to see the doctor. By the way, Doc has restored a 53 Dodge pickup and has a 28 Hupmobile to do next. I work on his tractor occasionally.

Overlapping symptoms are common. Death if wrongly self diagnosed is also common, but not a good thing. Relief is just a visit away. Jim
 
This is a very good small town doctor. He pulled me through twice when my liver was failing. One time it had shutdown completely. Both were due to chemical exposure. I feel very fortunate to have him as a doctor and a friend.

That is the very best situation. Getting a new doctor every visit is common and a rotten way to do medicine. Jim
 
As the well worn saying goes, "Better safe than sorry!" I had a very good friend that thought he had hurt his back cutting wood, messed around hurting for a couple of days and died one night from a heart attack.

Sometimes just knowing for sure can make you feel better.
Glad you went and glad all is Ok. Other than some still stiff muscles. :)

When I read your original post yesterday I too thought "heart attack". I thought to myself then, "I wonder if we'll ever hear back from him"?

So to see your update on your condition made me feel good and happy for you. 'Probably not half as happy as you! At least you didn't bull up and NOT go to the doctor.
