Normal oil pressure IH 1600 loadstar?

Wondering what good warm-engine oil pressure is for the 345ci engine in a 1600 loadstar. Anybody have a number or range?

25 to 30 psi would be quite sufficient. My old 304 would push 60 psi cold, but I worried about blowing out the oil filter seal. But many of today's engines reqire a very thin oil like 5-20. So if you are using a thin oil, you can expect a lower oil pressure. Those IH engines used to call for straight weight 30 for summer use, but in today's oils, I'd be using a diesel rated 15-40. This is a flat tappet engine with hydraulic lifters, and it needed a good zinc additive to protect the cam and lifters.

First of all the old guage set up on those trucks
are suspect at best. I have had some that ran for years just showing 20 lbs or so. Good 15W 40 helps and oil pump can be replaced by removing the oil pan but they were prone to wear the cam bearings and oil pressure would go down.
