case 430 not moving well

my case 430 seems to be stuck on flat land and you need to go back and forth many times, to get it to finally get rolling once rolling it seems ok till you hit a hill, then it stops again and you need to take a run at it to get over it. At first i thought the brakes were sticking but they are not. Also every time you stop it takes a while before it will gain any speed. I topped up the fluids and checked the vents but it still has the same issues. I would sure appreciate any help.
 
lol oh I take it you know "that" song.. I'm trying to sell this tractor as I don't need it other then the potential clutch problem it's a good machine interested :)

I would second the clutch problem. Pressure plate
probably is getting weak and the clutch disc either needs replacing or relined. Post this over on the Case forum they will know if the tractor has to be split. Hal
 
You didn't tell us , is this tractor a "triple randge" or a "Case-O-Matic". If this is a "case-O-Matic" tractor, it is not the clutch, as it will not have one,but a torque converter instead. And it could be a host of diffrent things,from shifter linkage, to wrong ,or no oil.
 
Jolene, you are a good sport, if you have the Case-O-Matic transmission, have you changed the filter in front of the radiator lately? It's about $18.50, could be dirty and starving your transmission for oil. Case part number G13113. Napa number FIL 1518. That tractor would be worth more running well.

Jolene, Jolene, the 430 to my knowledge was never made with a CaseoMatic, if you know what I mean
 
thanks for the help guys it has four speeds and it has a lever that makes you go forward or reverse without shifting gears believe it's a shuttle shift. so I'm not sure if this is the model with a clutch or a torque converter.
