OT Safety Razors for Rednecks et al.

This post is unusual but could be of interest of any person viewing the forum. If your neck is beaming red, you might just ignore it, unless it's due to bleeding from shaving. Grin.

Having been on the ground well before Pearl Harbor, my skin sensitivity has changed significantly. I have a dimple in my chin and significant wrinkles and shaving without a nick WAS nearly impossible. Electric razors, and I probably tried a dozen or so, just couldn't give me a good shave.

In short guys, if you are having nick problems, regardless of your age and maucho image, you need to try the Schick Quattro multi blade disposable shaver. If your wife happens to have one, swipe it and try it. If she doesn't have one buy her a pack. If you can't stand the pink, get yours out of the wrapper and spray paint them JD Green.

I would really prefer ZERO replies to this thread.

Good shaving.

Quit shaving the day after I retired in 88 beard down to toes now and may have to tie it so as not to trip on it giggle. But I haven't shaved in over 25 years.

actually, thanks for the tip! after i had the grabber in january, i've been on blood thinners. a shaving nick bleeds forever. been stuck wearing leather gloves anytime i work, and a lot of long sleeve shirts. i gotta give em a try. can i paint em I-H red instead of green?

Like Walt, no shaving here. My wife's never seen my chin (if it exists), but we first met only 46 yrs ago. How many blades/razors have I saved?

I hate shaving, my wife hates beards. What I hate even more than shaving is paying a ridiculous sum for razor blades, even it they do come with a handle. I broke down and bought a Parker safety razor and use Walmart Wilkinson Sword double edged blades. I prefer the higher quality blades I can get on line, but they run about 12 cents vs Wilkinsons 10 cents.

I'm farming, every penny counts!

Well I tried everything on the market and I just couldn't help getting nicked. I even got nicked on the lip more than once by my electric razors, both the foil and the one with 3 circular blades. I ran out of men's razors one day and borrowed one of these. I'm on the water pill too.

Being a quattro, it has 4 blades for a fast once over cut. Second it has side boards of sorts all around it to position skin before it gets to the blade. Third the angle of the blades is different than on mens which are at a sharper angle.

WW sells 3 of them for about $6. I can get half a dozen or so shaves with one. Works for me and I just thought others might be of similar age and having similar problems so I thought I'd share this.

Haven't shaved since 1975. My kids have never seen me barefaced, said they don't want to, it wouldn't be you.
