Found at antique store over 40 years ago. Both volt and ammeter. Is this the oldest you have seen?

There is a mirror in the back for a back view too.

Never saw one that old before. Looks like it was sold by the Columbia School Supply Co. of Indianapolis.

We had archaic equipment in the labs at The Tech many years ago but nothing that old.

I have not seen or used one that old George.
Sadly though, it is probably more accurate than
the one I use most often!
Great piece! What made you buy it?

(quoted from post at 00:22:08 09/04/13) I got it because my hobbie is electronics
ey, George, I'll trade you a brand spanking new Harbor Tools digital meter for it.

Jessie, no thanks, I have many free HF voltmeters hanging in shop. This is truely a classic perhaps one of a kind meter.

hat is a very nice item! I would hang tight with it, too!

Very nice! A work of art of an instrument maker.
These simple (in our perception) instruments should still be used in class rooms etc. because they show how the electromagnetic principles can be used to measure quantities such as current and voltage.
