Well, just add another item to new motorcycle issues. My phone worked out of the holster somewhere within 20 miles of here during ride today.

I drove back over the same path, nothing, but it rings, so it is in ditch somewhere.

Well, if it's not on vibrate, drive the route and have a
passenger keep calling it with another cell phone.
Sorry about the bad luck!

Unless it has the GPS enabled, that might make it easier.

Police may be able to get a general location through the phone's pinging the tower. If they're willing to do it for you. Probably depends on what "real" issues they're dealing with.

Last Thursday I rode to work and on my way home I had my paycheck in my T-shirt front pocket. When I got home it was gone. Luckily I have direct deposit and no important information is on my paychecks. I'll know better next time.

I am due for an upgrade, this one has fallen of the roof, been painted, got wet.

I just like to be in control of my destiny.

A few weeks ago I found a brand new I phone in the round-a-bout a 1/4 mile from the farm. A 19 yr. old girl got it stolen at a party over an hour away, and somehow it ended up here. She made the drive the next day to pick it up. Was REALLY blonde, and REALLY stupid. Made sense too.

Nah, I'm married and 2 kids. Don't need that kind of trouble. Plus that I'm almost 10 years her senior and my wife and kids were there....

Nah. Not worth it. I'm more than happy with the one I chose.

We had a phone turned in at a local high school football game last year. My wife and I were taking ticket money at the front gate so we figured someone would come looking for a lost phone. After halftime nobody showed so I started trying to look in the memory for any clues. Wasn't much there so I started calling numbers saved. After getting no answer to several, a nice older lady answered. I explained who I was and why I had the phone. Well, that eventually worked, but she in turn called the law and told them there had to be some kind of scam going on. A little while passed and here comes a deputy asking questions. We had a good chuckle over it but still had not found the one who lost the phone. Just as the game ended a young couple showed up looking for the female's phone. I had called her aunt, several states away and she thought I was some kind of kidnapper or something.

Learned years ago if you have a wallet or phone or any thing that matters on a bike or tractor or some such thing you have it where it is locked in place as a button up pocket or you leave it at home. When I ride I make sure my wallet can not fall out and my phone is locked in a pocket. Just think MILITARY type cloths and go from there All pockets have buttons or some way to keep what you need in then till you want them out

Phone conpany may be willing to try to locate the tower it's pinging on. That would at least give you a couple-three mile stretch to walk...

Lost one hauling corn 5 miles to bins. When I changed trucks and roll the tarp I would put it on the back tires. I thought I had lost it in the field's end rows, along the road, etc. I had my wife and help look and call that # but no luck. Got a loaner, waiting for contract to roll. I was driving an 8300 made into a tandem when it happened. I had put the phone on the seat and when I sat on it, it was push between the seat and back rest onto the floor. About 10 days later I searched the truck again and found it. Lost one in the bean field pulling weeds, slipped out of shirt pocket. Luckly went back and about 1/2 hour of walking later I found it.

My new smart phone has a smart leash app. I can go online with the company and find it with the gps on the phone. I can also wipe the info from it and cause it to make a loud screeching sound remotely. It does work good, I tried it out. You can pin point the phone within a few feet. Of course the phone has to be on with service for it to work tho.
