Could anyone tell me how many 801 Ford diesel tractors that they made that also had power steering.

Can"t give you a number but they are not uncommon.

Diesels were a bit more money back in those days, and the guys who would spring for the extra $$ would also be more likely to add options like power steering. Or so says my old friend who was a dealer back then.

I would agree with Mike on the power steering issue. MOST diesels had power steering when they where new. Fords power steering on these tractors was a totally separate unit. So it was added and subtracted easily.

Its been a long time ago,but I remember power steering on a 4 cyliner 4000 was only $135 extra cost. Wish I had that tractor back as it was my first brand new one. Joe
