This is on a Ditchwitch trencher that had set for a long time before I bought it. One cylinder is burning lots of oil the other is not. Might Seafoom or some other additive be worth a try (if a ring is stuck) and how would you use it?
Thanks.

Old 52 chevy I had one time sat for a long time before I got it .seemed to have no power

Neighbor was a pretty good mechanic , told me to give it a drink of water.

He showed me when he took off the aircleaner, told me to fire it up, and he held the throttle opem about half way and slowly poured in a pop bottle full of water in it made steam like crazy.

He said it was good to do that on engines that set for a long time to free rings, and a stuck carbonated valve .
I still use that sometimes on a garden tractor .
Works for me .

That is called steam cleaning the combustion chamber. It works on the top of the piston, don't know about down at the rings.
