I"m looking at a 6806 Deutz Tractor, I have had mostly John Deere, but need one more rig to do some lighter work. I"m concerned about air cooled engine any information would be helpful. Thanks

Keep the cooling fins on the jugs clean and a good belt on and your good to go. Biggest enemy they have is oil or fuel leaks that run down on the jugs and collect dirt. You will soon be using it for your heavier work also. Very fuel efficient. Dennis

Also wondering what would be a reasonable price to pay? not sure what year, but it has orange wheels. 2WD with cab in very good condition.

Quite a few in my area running with no complaints. I'm told they are solid and the advice about keeping things clean so she can cool was given to me when I was looking at a lower HP model.

There were quite a few here in Florida. Good machines. Like the other said very fuel efficient. I've worked on a few over the years. Keep a good belt on the fan and the jugs clean. There just getting hard to find some of the parts. There is a salvage yard close to me that specializes in them

(quoted from post at 17:11:53 08/29/13) Good tractors until they need repair and then you will find that they can be costly.

When it comes time to repair they are ALL costly!!!
