730 Industrial front end on 520?

I am curious if anyone knows why a John Deere wide front end that came off a 720 Industrial would not fit on a 520? As far as i know several people have done it?

I don't know what the Industrial axle looks like other than maybe being a regular standard front axle. I know there are some people who have built 520 and 530 Standards.

I built a 525 standard, ( 520 with 530 steering) used a 60 High seat front end. 2 holes worked and I drilled and tapped 2 more. I extended the radious rods going to the front of the engine as the engine don"t extend forward as far as a 60 engine.

Was the 720 a row crop ? I've seen industrials in row crop and standard tread . If it was a row crop it will bolt right on . You have the early - v - late tie rod setup on 20 series front ends but that is not a fit issue .

Mis-read the post but it still revolves around row crop or standard tread . The tie rod thing will be right if you have a later 520 . FWIW the late style tie rod setup is more desireable .
