I finally went to the scrap yard after deciding I needed to last winter. I thought I"d post the prices/lb I got here in Greensboro, NC for some stuff.
Mixed Steel and Cast .105/lb.
Sealed A/C compressor .20/lb
electric motors .20/lb
aluminum copper radiators 1.25/lb (aluminum finned copper tubing from A/C compressor)
copper wire insulated 1.35/lb
copper #2 2.80/lb
aluminum radiator .50/lb
aluminum cast clean .50/lb
aluminum painted .50/lb
brass yellow 2.00/lb
