speaking of outhouses.

I was a little late for the post on outhouses, but I wanted you to see that it is hard for some of us to find a good spot to read the Sears Roebuck catalog.

In 2009 our Town Historical Society published a calendar with outhouses from our Town.
It was a big seller by the way.
Your outhouse with the "fancy" door reminded me of one we pictured on our calendar.
I remember the outhouse back on our farm and believe me it was not nearly as nice as yours was nor the one in my picture.

I have posted these here before.
I built this outhouse about 20 years ago. I moved it about 8 years ago to where it is now.
Had to hire a skidder to move it then jacked it up and set it on blocks.
I hired a gal to make the stained glass window for it. It sat at my land where the river enters the lake so I had her include that in the window.
Per code requirements I had to have a tank under it. I didn't put a tank under where it sits now.

Looks like the perfect outhouse, for an outlaw! Might not get caught with his pants down. Very good visibility!

When I was a kid Dad said he was using the outhouse and heard the first sonic boom. I guess he was up off that thing and out the door in half a second.. Thought the house had blowed up.

Here's one for you. The old hotel in Nevada City, Montana had a double decker outhouse so the guests on the second floor wouldn't be inconvenienced. Ever seen a two story crapper?
