Better place to park my bottom

I bought one of those Tisco universal mount seats yesterday and replaced that old pan seat with the almost non existent suspension on the 1365 FiatOllieShutt. Turned a good tractor with a poor seat in to a great tractor with a great ride. No more bottoming out or bending my leg over the front of a seat that leans back too far. Even makes it easier to get on and off since it comes up away from the shift levers farther when I'm off the seat.

They're nice until they crack, the plastic seat that is, and you get a wet bottom after every shower. There are allegedly covers made for them, but I've never found one.

I just used a pan seat cover on mine. Tied the draw string tight and used those little bungee cord chicken chokers you get in an assortment bag that you never have a use for to pull up the slack under the seat. No more wet butt!

I use those drawstring covers on all the tractors with pan seats that I use in the winter. Sure makes for a warmer ride.

Ya,the pan seat that was on this had the foam and cover kinda molded to it. It had three drain holes in it. Not a problem since I got it because I keep it inside, but when I bought it in February it had been on a dealer lot for a while and the foam had gotten wet through the eyelets around the drain holes. The foam was frozen solid. I think it was the end on May before I quit putting a plastic dog food bag on the seat before I sat down.

This new one came with the suspension and all. Has a back rest. I took it out over some kinda rough ground this morning to fix some fence. Felt like I was floating on a cloud.

Those seats are pretty good. Now treat it with some vinyl protectant like Armor all or what ever brand you like. That wall make it last longer without cracking.

I put the same seat on my Mssaey a few years back. Its not a bad seat for the money, I liked being able to adjust it for your weight. Treat it with something too so it doesn't crack like mine did after a few years.

Randy,
Some of the best money you will ever spend. I have those on all of my tractors. I have a similar one on my zero turn.

If you leave the tractor outside, make sure you lube the jackscrew every so often, just in case you want to adjust the weight setting.

Due to a severely broken tailbone 9 years ago, not really an option for me. I need all the cushion I can get. Dr. wanted to do surgery I opted against. Heard a few horror stories from others that have had it.

You never sat on the old pan seat on that thing then. Suspension was about gone,it was tipped back too far,no back rest. This one is like driving a Cadillac compared to what it was.
