I found this nailed up in the basement of an old house. The wire piece folds up and down, but has a stopper to keep it from folding down flat. Its only about 1 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall. Maybe I should just try the phone number lol

Oops missed the pic

Is it a broom or mop holder? My Grandmother had something like that in her home. She lifted the hook, slipped the mop handle inside the hook and it would hold the mop off the floor.

Coincidently, she grew up in Willey, IA and retired in Carroll, both towns are within 20 miles of Arcadia.

It would be a holder for any straight handled tool such as broom, pitchfork, shovel. etc. It was a great peice of advertising, to remind the user where to go when he/she needed a new hand tool or something else or seed in that case.Loren, the Acg.

Small world, mom grew up by Arcadia and her mom retired in Carroll also. IIRC Willey is South of Carroll?

Yes, Willey is 5 or 6 miles south of Carroll.

Growing up in the 1970's we attended a lot of wedding receptions at the Arcadia Legion Hall.

I have several items like this. They were given away at Christmas time. Dad would come home with something from every business in town. All five of them. Ha Ha I will have to find them this winter.
