Does any one of you that lives in Minn. know if the tractor yards are still in Brownton, Faribault, and Belle Plaine ?
Is the world famous two story toilet still in Belle Plaine, and is the John Deere dealer still on the north side of town on hwy.169.
Do any of you live close by those towns?

The only one I can answer, is that the JD dealer is still there. If I had known about the 2 story outhouse I would have stopped :)

Brownton is gone, auction was perhaps 2 years ago, and I had a legal matter to tend to that day and couldn't go, I was disappointed......

The Brownton junkyard, or as I called it has been completely cleaned up- I"ve had a few customers from that area state that the person that ran that died.

Faribault"s Faribo Tractor went out a business 2 years ago, he"s restarted- I"ve called him 3 times and he"s not had what I needed any of those times.

As for Belle Plaine, the Deere dealer is now called Ag Power. As for a junk yard around there, I don"t know who your speaking of.

Hope this helps!

Do you remember Otto Meyer at Green Isle, Mn. ?
I bought some tractors and a self proppeld baler from him aboot 25 years ago.
I think his place was cleaned up several years ago as he was up in the years.
There was a farmer east of Belle Plaine that had a lot of MMs that he parked when he was done with them and was selling some of his old stuff.
That was aboot 25 years ago.

What about Worthington MN, Pete's in North Dakota 701-465 or 485-3274, I also believe there is one Andover South Dakota, Biewer's in Barnesville...So what are you looking for? also Gotvald Implement in Gotvald Corner 320-355-2500 and ask for Dick

Panning Brothers are still going strong too. Actually have a nice web site, wow they got a lot of burned tractors in tho.

IIRC Arlen Rathke had Brownton. Noticed it all cleaned up. Dealt with him a time or two- few years ago he showed up at my house, said he had checked out what I had around the yard and beyond. Told him, you can get shot for that....ie, trespassing....if you"re driving by, noticing.....fine, but stop at the house FIRST, not after you"ve been through my yard. (I have 3 driveways). He was surprised I called him by name, having dealt with him before, and I live an hour + north of him. Arlen always had boo-coo stuff there, but seemed like little moved.

Thanks to all who answered.
I wasn't looking for anything, just reminiscing about the tractor yards that were in Minnesota when I traveled that country years ago and bought some tractors.
When I ask someone where they are from i'm just curious, they don't have to lock their doors I won't do them any harm.
