BENT FRONT BUCKET

On one of my Backhoes the front bucket has a slight bend in the middle. I removed it from the tractor and flipped it over and put a round 12 inch dia. post on each corner. Then I took another backhoe--a JD 410 C and backed it up to the bucket and put the rear boom with bucket on the center of the blade and raised the backend of the JD up to put the full weight on the bent bucket and it DIDN'T DO A THING TO THE BEND.

HOW DOES A GUY PUT the STRAIGHT back into a bent front bucket???????????????

At the weld shop we always welded a hook of some kind to the ends to attach a chain.

We then hooked the chains to the floor anchors then used a 30 ton bottle jack in the middle to jack it back into shape.

Attached to a big I beam would work as well if you don"t have anchors in the floor.

Hi
I did the back of a 4 in 1 bucket years ago , took it off the machine/ pulled the jaw off. supported it like you did. put the whole weight of the hoe back end on the dipper stick on it, then beat on the back plate with a 14lb sledge hammer, close to the bends and slowly it released the tension and it went back straight.
Don't know if this would work for you I'm guessing the wear edge is pretty thick, and holding the bend in.
