Dad sent me a picture of my Grandpa (center) and his sisters with my Great-Grandparents from the early 1900's.

Never got to meet my Grandpa on Dad's side as he had pasted away before I was born.

What a treasure! I have just a few pictures of just a few of my ancestors, missing two grandparents, etc. Wish I could find some. Would be neat to see what they looked like.

My Dad with his brothers and sisters and his grandmother on his mothers side.

And a bunch of my older cousins with Great Grandma.

Yep, me too. My Grampa (Mom's Dad) lived with us and died when I was 14, never knew my Mom's Mom . Dad's Dad took off before He was born and his Mom died of Diabetes complications in 1922, about 20 years before I was born.

I was fortunate in that I knew all four of my grandparents when I was young and also three of my greatgrandparents. They all lived in the same small town as I did.

Wow, that goes way back! Here is a pic of my dad on a Sunday afternoon. Must be summertime as the front door is open. Yes, that's the same house I grew up in. Dad was born in the room behind him. It was used at different times for a bedroom but we always called it the parlor.

I was fortunate enough to know all of My Grandparents and one great Grandmother. I started to write about Her (GGM) and the life she lived. Whenever i think things are bad I think about what She lived through and My problems don't seem so tough. Her husband Got a crippling disease in his early thirty's and was never able to walk again unassisted. They had 11 children and only 5 lived to adulthood and then came the depression.

Nice to see these old pictures. Here's one of my late dad taken in 1912 when he graduated from Agriculture college in Winona IN. He's in the bottom row. Hal
PS: He's fourth counting left to right.
