USDA may have pulled their head out a little

I read on Agweb.com that the USDA is saying that there is 7.7 million acres of prevented planting. It's my belief and I may be wrong the report doesn't take into consideration how many acres were planted to soybeans that were intended for corn.

How many BFO's declared prevented planting corn on land that was intended to be beans because they were over their heads in acres? It happened in my neck of the woods. It looks suspicious when a bare black field is across the fence from a field of tall healthy beans.Jim

Got a few around here like that too. One guy in
particular has several square quarters unplanted
that are surrounded on all four sides with beautiful
crops ranging from corn, beans and spring wheat.

I am not farmer, but the farmers around here have plowed up pasture, vacant fields, several sod farms, and at least one golf course. Kinda weird seeing corn growing where the fairway used to be. The joke last year was of a local bto wanting to plow up walmart. And the crops look great, never seen them better.
