Yesterday I asked whats the risk of using a 10 micron vs. a 25 micron hydraulic filter (my machine calls for a 25).
I called Parker directly. Their answer was to stick with the 25 micron. They prefer and recommend even larger in winter. Tech guy said a 10 micron filter could likely go into bypass during and after startup if the engine is immediately revved up.
So I am sticking with the recommended 25 micron.
