voltage regulator on briggs and stratton wiring

I have an old ARIENS EZR MODEL# 313707 0162-E5 THAT I PURCHASED LASTMONTH.THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR HAS 2 WIRES(ONE RED AND ONE YELLOW)NEED TO FIND OUT WHERE DOES THE YELLOW WIRE GOES?

Hello,

My B&S book has the yellow wire marked: DC+ regulated, it would be the output of the alternator. Both the 10 and the 16 amp alternators have the same color output wire.
Model for the engine are: 161400;235499;245400, for the 10 amp. You can measure the voltage coming out of the wire as you run the engine,10 amps @ 3600 R.P.M.s
Guido.

Does this official Briggs diagram look like what you have?
