Yesterday's Tractor Co. Slow

I placed a parts order with Yesterday's Tractor Co. on Monday morning and the order wasn't processed until this evening. Personally, I think that taking three days to even process an order is excessively slow, especially when my tractor is down and I need the parts ASAP.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

I suppose I could forgive them for having technical difficulties. However, from what I've read it seems that their phone system being overloaded was due to some sort of advertising they did. If so, it stands to reason that if such an event is anticipated to cause an increase in orders that a company should have the infrastructure in place to handle those orders in a timely manner.

As if to add insult to injury, I just learned that UPS delivered my parts order to the wrong address without verifying it was correct, and there is nothing I can do about it until tomorrow because Yesterday's Tractor's parts department is closed. If they would have used USPS Priority Mail as I requested instead of insisting on UPS, this would not have happened.

Ordering online is rapidly becoming more trouble than it's worth.

Bashing a company on an open forum without talking to their customer
support doesn't make it sound like you've given them a fair shake.
Blaming them for a UPS screw up solidifies that opinion in my mind.
There are many places to order Tisco parts from online. Take your pick.
I don't particularly like Tisco parts.

First off, I am posting this on an open forum because I firmly believe in posting the facts openly without sweeping them under the rug, a process better known as censorship. And I give Yesterday's Tractor Co. a great deal of credit for not making this thread disappear, much like would have happened on another popular tractor forum that shall not be named. That fact alone is enough to earn them future business from me, but I will not hide the truth, regardless.

Secondly, where do you see me blaming them because UPS screwed up? I clearly stated that UPS was to blame, and continued to say that I preferred to use USPS Priority Mail but was denied that option when placing my order. These are facts based on prior contact with customer service, not speculation. I would hardly call what I said bashing, and had that been my intent I could have said far worse but chose not to do so because I am giving them a fair shake.

Lastly, I don't like Tisco parts either, which is why the parts I ordered are made by Sparex.

Had you talked to them when you posted this? It didn't sound like it.

"where do you see me blaming them because UPS screwed up?"

Right here: "UPS delivered my parts order to the wrong address without verifying it was correct, and [b:38f2f88f90]there is nothing I can do about it until tomorrow because Yesterday's Tractor's parts department is closed[/b:38f2f88f90]"

Your beef is with UPS not YT, why blame their parts dept being closed?

Not trying to start an argument, it just sounded off key to me.

Could just be my hearing via the web. I hope it all works out well.

Yes I talked to them before posting that. In fact I had to call them on the third day to see if my order had been processed, but was told that it had not, then it had, then who knows. The customer service rep seemed confused, or he was not telling me everything. I don't know. At least he admitted that the parts were being drop shipped when I questioned him about their "warehouses". Then there was the tracking number, which I had to badger them to get, just so I could ensure that UPS actually delivered my package because UPS doesn't have a good track record with delivering packages to me.

Stating that UPS screwed up and that there is nothing I can do about it until Yesterday's Tractor Co opens tomorrow is not bashing, it's simply a fact. If anything, it's just me expressing frustration about a situation I feared would happen and tried to prevent by requesting that USPS Priority mail be used when originally placing my order. Again, they insisted on using UPS, which is their fault, not mine.

Regardless, all has worked out well thanks to a kind neighbor who informed me that they had my package, which has since been inspected and found to be ok. I finally have my parts.
