I know Fort Lost in The Woods, I mean Leonard Wood is a distance from you. They reporting that the east gate at the fort is flooded. They also evacuating Waynesville. Just wondering if it's that bad at Camdenton?

Well I have a very small creek that crosses my driveway that most of the time when we have rain like this floods the road and it is not even flowing more then a trickle. But I did have to find my driveway today since the rains had turned it in to a bunch of ditches. Spent 2-3 hours on the W Speed Patrol this afternoon. Last part of the run half mile from the house and got poured on all that 1/2 mile. Calling for more rain for the next 7 days. Sad thing is one child dead down at the fort lost in the woods and few houses in bad shape

That is so sad when a child gets lost like that. One drowned a short ways from here today. He was swimming with his family in a large creek and the current swept him into some tangled trees and trapped him under water. We have also had lots of rain this summer and a bunch the last few weeks so rivers/creeks are flooded and running fast. Best to keep out of them.

Spent many days there in 1963/64. Seemed like ever where you went was up hill. Seems like the river where we trained was out on the edge of the post. Shure hate to see all the folks get flooded. We have had two of what they called 100 year floods in the past three years.

Got 4 inches last night and boy what a mess. Shop had water in it last night and a few tools will need to be found that where on the floor etc. Hay barn had water in it also so lower layer of big rounds maybe bad or at least partly so. Gravel spread all over the place so will have to put that back on the driveway one bucket at a time
