My new decal is peeling off, what adhesive should I use?

A new decal on the rear of my F-20 doesn't like to stay on in one corner, is there something specifically made to glue decals, or can I use super glue or rubber cement. I don't know what the decal is made out of, but I bought it from Rice Equipment.

Every decal we put on was either varnished after installed or clearcoated, this is from the 50's Howefire apparatus fire trucks in Anderson Ind, to all the rebuilt pickups from todays when we rebuilt them. JM 2 cents. As for adhesive some one else will have a idea.

I'd be careful with super glue or anything else as it might eat the
decal, the paint or both. Test it in an inconspicuous spot first.
I have used clear fingernail polish to hold the ends of pin stripes
down on cars, but again, test it with your materials first.

Just some advice for next time, don't touch the adhesive with your bare fingers. That's why it's peeling up now.

Hi-Tack Spray Adhesive. Spray some into an old spray-can cap (you want the liquid, NOT the spray), next take an 1/8 inch paint brush (the kind used for Models), fan out the bristles and GENTLY tug on the bristles; (you want to remove any loose bristles as they will create a ridge under your decal). Paint a THIN coat on the back of your decal, & gently press the decal back down - smoothing it down and removing any air bubbles.

Works for me.
