OT CL find of the day

My old Ford needs a bed, BAD! I have been looking for one to replace it or build a new one. I was up early this morning and had time to look on CList for a little while and saw an add for a truck bed that was just listed so I called them and got directions on how to get there. An hour drive I found his place in an rich area about 10am. I pulled up next to the bed as the guy came around the side of the building and as I got out he said that's the bed I know it aint much to look at but I need it gone today. I'll take it! Didn't even try to talk him down at all on the price. I made arangments to come bad at 4 pm to pick it up. Me and dad got there he picked it up with a skid steer and I chained it down and we left. Me and dad still cant believe I got a one year old flat bed for $500. Some days it pays to get up early and look on the computer. Bandit

That's a knapheid (spelling?) I just bought a similar one for 450$ but was a bit older with no headache rack. He did throw in a power tailgate too though!

It amazing what you can find for sale sometimes. I could not pass this one up at all you might as well say its new. It will last a long time on my old Ford with a little luck and some oil. Bandit
 
Absolutely, CL at times you will find excellent deals on things, I've seen it over and over, it does pay to read these ads often, and be the first caller, its actually a lot of fun too !
 
I needed a stud welder to pull a dent in the gas tank on one of my tractors (don't worry, I'm getting dry ice to prevent an explosion).

That's not normally something you see on CL, but Wednesday night I did a search and there one was! Hardly used, 1/2 price of new.

I figure I can use it and sell it for at least what I paid for it once I'm done.
